Full STEAM Ahead is an integrated science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) program that champions the development of personal traits and work habits in children that are essential to a productive lifestyle, as well as crucial for successful STEAM careers.
Student council is a extracurricular activity for students within elementary and middle school. These councils are present in most public and private K-12 school systems across the United States. Student councils often serve to engage students in learning about democracy and leadership.
Mesa School offers students the oppurtunity to participate in sports. Representing Mesa on an athletic team is a privilege; therefore, when students participate in these events, they agree to follow school rules. Students who fail to follow school rules and demonstrate proper conduct may be suspended from a game(s) or the team.
This English Language Development (ELD) course is designed to support English Language Learners as they develop beginning English proficiency. The major emphasis of this course is to promote a balanced ELD program that provides students who are English Learners with opportunities to develop skills in English reading, writing, listening, speaking, and language.
Mesa Union School District places a high value on the Visual and Performing Arts. Few elementary school districts have been able to replicate Mesa’s vast opportunities to learn to play an instrument with Mr. Rhymes, join Mrs. Lindsey in her in-class choir, fire an original clay creation in the school’s kiln, or join up with the Dance Club afterschool.
